Who We Are
Adventure Outdoors LLC and its divisions, Glenwood Adventure Company, Lakota Guides, and Colorado Rafting Adventures, have been offering whitewater adventures in Colorado for over 30 years. With a number of outposts in some of the most popular destinations in Colorado, we’ve evolved over time to becoming a leader in Colorado’s adventure industry and a complete adventure outfitter for the Western Slope. Our offices include Glenwood Adventure Company in Glenwood Springs, Lakota Guides in Vail, and Colorado Rafting Adventures in Buena Vista.
We hand-pick our staff for their passion and knowledge of the outdoors and their desire to share it with visitors. Our mission is to serve unforgettable experiences with safety in mind, and we’re confident you’ll find an adventure that will exceed your expectations.

Meet The Owners
The Lakota tagline “Weird but Cool” sums up the guys who own this operation. They have over 100 combined years of experience, with each beginning their careers as guides in the outdoor industry prior to GoPros and self-bailing rafts. They work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everyone is having the time of their lives!
Jim Bair grew up on Bair Ranch, a 6,000-acre private ranch in the spectacular Glenwood Canyon of Glenwood Springs, CO. Jim and his family have been customizing premier outdoor experiences for guests for nearly three decades, including horseback riding, ATV tours, and Jeep tour adventures. A varsity basketball coach, Jim is a towering athlete with a great passion for the outdoors and hunting throughout the world!
Ken Murphy, a native of Dublin, Ireland, brings experience managing operations for large outdoor activity companies in Colorado. He began his journey in the outdoor industry as a river guide on The Arkansas and Colorado rivers, and is one of the lucky ones to have now made a career out of it. Ken is a sports science and business graduate from London, England, and is now a family man who enjoys traveling around the world in the winter, supporting his ski-racing daughters.
Karl Borski is our river expert. In the guiding business for over 20 years, his goal is to insure that every guest has an epic trip on the exciting waters of Colorado. He ran a rafting company in Honduras for several years and has spent time paddling in other countries, such as Chile, Panama, and Guatemala. A hockey coach in the winter, Karl has two talented hockey-playing daughters.
